GTB re-opens operation in Ekiti State after 3 Years of shut down
Guaranty Trust Bank – GTB has re-opened her operation in Ekiti after 3 years of shut down. Remember that the bank was banned in 2016 by the Ekiti State Board of Internal Revenue during the tenure of Mr Ayodele Fayose over alleged non-payment of tax.
If you are into business, especially internet business like me in Ado-Ekit, then this news about GTB re-opening will interest you.
GTB which was establised in 1990 by co-founders Fola Adeola and Tayo Aderinokun has been very innovative since inception especially with the use of technology. The current CEO is Segun Agbaje.
The current Governor of Ekiti, Dr Kayode Fayemi has lifted the ban on GTB. According to Vanguard, the embargo was lifted to rekindle and strengthen the age-long relationship between the affected banks and the state government.
The bank began her operation on Monday, 4th of March, 2019 in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Before now, all you could do was use the GTB mobile app, GTB Internet banking system, ATM of other banks or go to Akure for customer care service.
Now, you don’t need to go to Akure, Ondo state. You can visit GTB in Ado-Ekiti to carry out all the transactions you want and/or lay your complains and get them resolved immediately.
For me, I’m so excited that GTB is back to Ekiti state after a long time of waiting. How about you?
